Applied DNA Sciences Joins Prestigious GTSI InteGuard Alliance

09-Aug-2004

Peter Brocklesby, president of Applied DNA Sciences Inc announced that ADNAS has joined the InteGuard(TM) Alliance. The InteGuard Alliance was formed by GTSI® to collaborate in the joint development and implementation of industry-leading open standard-based physical security protection (PSP) systems and managed service solutions. ADNAS brings the Alliance a new technology that will result in advanced innovative DNA security solutions.

The InteGuard Alliance, represents more than 35 partners who provide system consulting and advisory services; products, solutions, and managed services that offer the best industry¬-leading physical security and force protection; GTSI-branded Physical Security Protection (PSP) multi-vendor solutions; and system integration.

Arpad Toth, senior technologist of GTSI and chairman of the InteGuard Alliance commented, "ADNAS brings critical technology and solutions to the Alliance that will be needed in a variety of applications in relation to physical security protection."

"Our patented, proprietary biological-DNA science enables the world's first-ever integration of DNA microbiology with integrated circuits- a Bio-DNA + IC microchip- a breakthrough technology that enables the highest level of security authentication applications," Brocklesby said.

ADNAS biological DNA security solutions are based on an innovative science created by Biowell Inc. (ADNAS' Taiwan global technology-marketing partner) for embedding complex plant DNA in a protective envelope, resulting in a DNA marker with a code complexity in the trillions that cannot be reverse engineered, replicated or counterfeit. The company's bio-DNA is more sophisticated than synthetic DNA, has a durable, 100-year lifespan, and is a covert and overt proprietary identity marker that can be used in ink, paper, plastics, substrates, adhesives and for the first time, in microchips. ADNAS' DNA microchip has immediate application as a super-secure national security ID card for government and military sites and systems, and as a new technology that enterprise corporations can integrate into their products to enhance them with the unique capabilities that DNA science brings to the technology domain.

"We are 20 years ahead of the market in DNA science for security." Brocklesby said
