London’s largest BioScience hub created through London BioAlliance collaboration

12-Dec-2008 - United Kingdom

The London BioScience Innovation Centre (LBIC) and BioPark are collaborating together to create the London BioAlliance, London’s largest bioscience hub. The London BioAlliance is now able to offer bioscience businesses access to 6,300 sqm of high specification category 2 and 3 laboratories, write-up suites, offices, meeting rooms and events facilites.

“The London BioScience Innovation Centre has been extending to support increasing numbers of start-up biotech companies, based in London and overseas, since its opening in 1992,” said Colin Howard, CEO of the London BioScience Innovation Centre. “The partnership with BioPark, to form the London BioAlliance, is creating a successful symbiotic relationship by helping us to grow, which will ultimately benefit the companies that we strive to serve.”

Both LBIC and BioPark currently support bioscience and medical technology companies through providing facilities and offering business support. LBIC successfully incubates new bioscience ventures whilst BioPark provides the grow-on space that companies need for continuing development.

The creation of the London BioAlliance provides LBIC clients with the capacity to expand whilst maintaining their London presence, whilst BioPark clients are offered the opportunity to have a London base with access to specialist LBIC facilities.
