vasopharm announces appointment of Joachim Gerloff as Chief Medical Officer

vasopharm GmbH announced that it has appointed Dr Joachim Gerloff as Chief Medical Officer. Dr Gerloff brings to vasopharm more than 20 years of experience both from the pharmaceutical and biotech industry. He is in particular responsible for vasopharm's clinical program as well as regulatory affairs.

Dr Gerloff joins vasopharm from Boehringer Ingelheim where he worked in Medical Marketing mainly in the indication stroke. Prior to this he held executive positions at several biotech companies. Before that Dr Gerloff was Head of Clinical Pharmacology International at Schwarz Pharma as well as Head of the Department of Clinical Pharmacology at Grünenthal. At Schwarz Pharma and Grünenthal he planned and conducted numerous phase I and phase II studies both nationally and internationally. Dr Gerloff has a Medical Doctor's degree from the University of Giessen and is a specialist in internal medicine and clinical pharmacology.
