Axordia Participation in EUR12 Million EU Human Embryonic Stem Cell Consortium

Axordia Ltd announced its participation in the European Commission "ESTOOLS" programme. ESTOOLS is a EUR12 million stem cell research initiative that shall advance the fundamental understanding and biomedical applications of human embryonic stem cells. Involving the principal academic and commercial researchers across Europe, Axordia is one of only three commercial partners taking part in this programme.

"Axordia will provide the consortium with important technology and scientific expertise and participation in the project will provide the company access to important research by leaders in the field in Europe. The project is important in terms of providing a focal point for further stem cell progress, consolidating the extensive intellectual expertise and enhancing the competitive advantage of the UK and Europe," said Dr V Paul Gerskowitch, CEO of Axordia.
