ABX acquires biotech start-up TRIMT
ABX is expanding its pipeline to include cyclopeptide technology, as well as diagnostic and therapeutic radiopharmaceuticals

ABX announced the acquisition of TRIMT GmbH, a biotechnology company developing radiopharmaceuticals targeting the integrins αvβ6 and αvβ8. The acquisition expands ABX’s precision-oncology pipeline with a proprietary integrin targeted radiopharmaceutical platform and brings together TRIMT’s scientific innovation in cyclopeptide ligands with ABX’s end-to-end capabilities in radiopharmaceutical development, clinical manufacturing, regulatory support, commercialization and global supply.
TRIMT has a proprietary portfolio of cyclopeptide-based compounds, including the αvβ6-integrin targeted PET imaging agent ⁶⁸Ga-Trivehexin and the therapeutic candidate ¹⁷⁷Lu-Therahexin, as well as the αvβ8-integrin targeted PET imaging agent ⁶⁸Ga-Triveoctin. All three compounds are investigational and have not been approved for commercial use.
The integrins αvβ6 and αvβ8 are cell-surface receptors that are expressed at low levels in many healthy adult tissues but can be upregulated in cancer and other diseases. This makes them attractive targets for molecular imaging and targeted radionuclide therapy.
Clinical and translational research has demonstrated the potential to visualize integrin expression across a range of epithelial malignancies. ⁶⁸Ga- Trivehexin, ¹⁷⁷Lu-Therahexin, and⁶⁸Ga-Triveoctin are currently under clinical investigation, and their safety and efficacy have not been established.
The acquisition provides ABX with the rights to develop and commercialize TRIMT's proprietary intellectual property, cyclopeptide technology platform, and clinical-stage development portfolio, creating the opportunity to further advance both diagnostic and therapeutic applications within the rapidly growing theranostics landscape.

We aim to create new options for patients with cancers that remain difficult to diagnose and treat.”
ABX will build on its 30 years of experience across the radiopharmaceutical value chain - from early research and development to clinical manufacturing, regulatory support, commercialization and worldwide supply - to support ongoing and future clinical programs for the acquired portfolio. ABX’s track record includes contributing to the development of the prostate cancer therapeutic ¹⁷⁷Lu-PSMA-617 through Phase II before sublicensing the program to Endocyte, now part of Novartis. The company also developed the prostate cancer imaging agent ¹⁸F-PSMA-1007 , which is approved in selected countries across Europe, Asia and North Africa.

The acquisition reinforces ABX’s commitment to precision oncology, molecular imaging, and targeted radionuclide therapy while establishing a strong foundation for the next generatio nof integrin-targeted radiopharmaceuticals.
