New software company Stormbit GmbH focuses on digital solutions for secure and efficient communication processes in pharmaceutical manufacturing With the foundation of the Stormbit GmbH, the Systec & Solutions Group is expanding its portfolio with a specialized software company focused on data-driven production environments and communication management. Stormbit develops digital solutions that integrate seamlessly into existing systems and make production data available in real time exactly where it is needed — directly within the process.

The company’s portfolio includes context-based visualization of production-relevant data, device tracking solutions, and continuous information availability throughout the entire manufacturing process. In addition, the application provides the foundation for predictive maintenance concepts. The goal is to improve transparency, efficiency, and safety — particularly in regulated industries such as pharmaceuticals, as well as food and cosmetics manufacturing.

Many production environments still face significant media discontinuities: despite increasing digitalization, information is often still documented on paper or distributed across multiple systems. Especially in sensitive areas such as GMP-compliant cleanrooms, this can lead to deviations, delays, and potential sources of error.

This is where Stormbit comes in. As a spin-off of Systec & Solutions GmbH — an internationally established specialist for HMI systems in cleanroom environments — the company combines deep process expertise with modern software development. Its mission: bringing data to where decisions are made. Validated, in real time, and in the right context.

“Providing the right information at the right time in the right place is the key to safe and efficient production processes,” explains Hermann Schäfer. “In practice, however, this information is often fragmented or not digitized. With Stormbit, we close this gap and deliver data exactly where it is needed at the decisive moment. Stormbit provides the technological foundation, by integrating existing data sources and transforming them into a seamless, actionable view of processes and assets.”

VEYA: Paperless labeling and real-time visualization in the cleanroom

One of the first examples is the VEYA solution. The system enables paperless, GMP-compliant labeling and visualization of production-relevant data in cleanroom environments. Through LCD-based HMIs, ePaper-based labels (LSLs; Life Science Labels), and a dedicated app, key information such as production data, room parameters, status messages, and cleaning states are displayed in real time.

The data is sourced directly from existing enterprise systems and centrally managed, preventing conflicting or outdated information — a common issue with manual labeling processes. This significantly reduces potential errors while also minimizing manual documentation efforts through digital data provisioning. The result is greater transparency, improved process reliability, and enhanced audit readiness.

Beyond data visualization, Stormbit’s portfolio also includes additional scalable applications that can be deployed across industries — from pharmaceuticals to food and cosmetics manufacturing.
