Agilent Technologies Appoints Dr. Tachi Yamada to Board of Directors
Prior to joining the Gates Foundation, Dr. Yamada was chairman of research and development for GlaxoSmithKline Inc., and previously held research and development positions at SmithKline Beecham. Dr. Yamada also served as chairman of the department of internal medicine at the University of Michigan Medical School and Physician-in-Chief of the University of Michigan Medical Center.

In addition, his extensive pharmaceutical industry knowledge coupled with his medical background gives him a unique insight into a number of issues facing Agilent that will serve us well as we continue to grow our life sciences business.”
