Biological Indicators: VH2O2 Self-contained BIs

Tailin VH2O2 Biological Indicators are designed to verify the microbial lethality of vaporized hydrogen peroxide sterilization and biodecontamination cycles. They are intended for use in pharmaceutical manufacturing, medical device production, biosafety laboratories, cleanrooms and other controlled environments where reliable sterilization validation is required.

The self-contained format is designed for convenient handling and rapid inoculation: users can activate the indicator by pressing the unit after exposure, reducing additional handling steps. A patented structure helps control medium evaporation during incubation, while the Tyvek® packaging supports hydrogen peroxide penetration and helps protect the indicator from external contamination. The product is also designed to remain effective in high-humidity environments. Tailin states that its mature spore preparation process achieves spore purity above 99%, supporting consistent performance during validation work.

For regulated applications, Tailin Biological Indicators meet the requirements of ISO 11138, GMP, PDA TR51 and relevant pharmacopoeial requirements including USP and Ph. Eur. All Tailin biological indicators are manufactured under an ISO 13485-compliant Quality Management System (QMS), supporting consistent product quality and controlled manufacturing processes. The spores are traceable, and the accompanying test report includes key quality information such as spore concentration, D-value and other relevant data, helping users support documented sterilization validation and routine monitoring.

The VH2O2 BI range includes self-contained indicators and stainless-steel carrier formats based on Geobacillus stearothermophilus ATCC 12980, with different population levels available for different validation requirements. Customized options for spore concentration and D-value are also available, providing greater flexibility when developing or challenging specific sterilization cycles.
