CyBio and Macherey-Nagel collaborate to develop applications for automated DNA/RNA preparation

02-Aug-2007

CyBio AG and Macherey-Nagel GmH Co. KG, have signed a non-exclusive collaboration for the joint development of applications to automate Macherey-NagelL kits on CyBio liquid handling instruments.

The cooperation focuses on the automation of nucleic acid preparation from various biological sample materials and the purification of PCR products, e.g. for subsequent sequencing and cloning experiments. For CyBio the cooperation is a further milestone to strategically strengthen the company's position in genomics.

The cooperation of both partners enables the easy automation of Macherey-Nagel's DNA/RNA preparation kits with CyBio's liquid handling instruments, addressing a broad range of customers with diverse demands regarding application, automation, and throughput. Important advantages of Macherey-Nagel kits are the specific product development and the kit modularity to meet the application needs. Robust chemistry can be combined with microplate types of the customer's choice. Complemented with comprehensive kit accessories, the user can benefit from fast automation implementation and highly reliable results.
