QIAGEN collaborates with the US National Cancer Institute to develop validated siRNAs for cancer genes

02-Jun-2005

Qiagen and the US National Cancer Institute (NCI) have entered into a research agreement to develop a validated set of siRNAs for use by NCI cancer researchers. "QIAGEN is pleased to be able to collaborate with the NCI on this project" said Eric Lader, Director of RNAi research at QIAGEN. "Our advanced siRNA design enables us to supply reagents that are as potent and specific as possible. The work at NCI to fully characterize all aspects of the knockdown effect will make these reagents invaluable for researchers worldwide". The Validated Cancer siRNA Set will also be available to the general research community after characterization is completed.
