Ceapro and Daisen Sangyo Announce Research and Development Agreement
Ceapro Inc. and Daisen Sangyo Company Ltd. (Osaka, Japan) announced an agreement for the research and development of new veterinary therapeutic products. Ceapro will develop a minimum of three new products for the treatment of specific skin diseases. The first product is planned for introduction in mid 2005.
Mr. Akio Goda, President of Daisen Sangyo Company Ltd. commented, "By working closely with our customer, Zenoaq, Japan's top animal health company, we have been able to position Ceapro's products as market sector leaders. Japanese veterinarians are now asking for more therapeutic products to help with the treatment of frequent skin problems in pets and we have asked Ceapro to develop these products as soon as possible."
"Our strategic plan is to develop a complete range of ethical veterinary products, using our core oat-extraction technology," said Dr. Mark Redmond, Ceapro's President and Chief Executive Officer. "Our experience and expertise will enable us to deliver the products to market quickly and fill an important market need."
Ceapro's veterinary therapeutic products help reduce the incidence of skin and ear disease in animals and minimize the need for active treatment. Sold as Dr. Redmond's Selection (Japan) and Avena Sativa (Canada), Ceapro's products are available exclusively through veterinarians and include an oat shampoo, a dermal complex/conditioner and an ear cleaner.
