Volpi partners with Revox

Japanese-Swiss Cooperation

26-Sep-2011 - Japan

Swiss Volpi AG has announced a cooperation agreement with the Japanese company Revox. In Sagamihara near Tokyo, Revox Corporation manufactures highly efficient LED light sources and LED line illuminations for machine vision applications. The Japanese-Swiss cooperation has two principle aims, namely the expansion of cross-selling activities and the joint development of increasingly powerful LED lighting solutions and OEM subsystems for high-end applications in medical technology, life science and machine vision.

The agreement states that Revox will aggressively market Volpi products in the Japanese market in addition to its own product line. In return, Volpi will integrate Revox lighting technology into its own proprietary systems and thus provide market access to Europe and North America for the Japanese company. Both companies are already very far advanced in the development of LED lighting components, offering technologically leading systems in their main markets. The technology cooperation will create synergy effects, which in turn will further the development of customer-specific OEM components to save costs and shorten the time-to-market. “This cooperation and the pooling of mutual know-how will have a very positive impact on the innovation capacity and thus competitiveness of both our companies in the high-end segment of customer-specific LED lighting systems and measuring technology,” sums up Max Kunz, owner and CEO of Volpi AG.
