Towards a more complete glycome: IC-MS for improved separation and analysis of carbohydrates
To understand a molecular system, you need to identify and characterize all sugars in the system’s glycome. Glycan profiling can be complex and requires derivatization and multiple method conditions to achieve the full suite of carbohydrates. A novel column with IC-MS workflow for oligosaccharides in biological and food samples gives an unbiased window into the total glycome, allowing direct characterization of neutral and charged species alike.
