The Pure Excellence Chromatography Systems from BUCHI cover the full range of preparative purification: from flash chromatography to preparative HPLC. The product line includes four models (C-905, C-910, C-915, C-950) that differ in detection options and operating modes. In day-to-day lab work, one thing matters most: reliable results with minimal effort. This is precisely where the Pure Excellence Systems deliver. The intuitive software focuses on the chromatogram and can be operated with minimal training. The quick-release cartridge holder secures any standard flash cartridge with one hand via a universal Luer connection. No adapters are needed. Automated sample injection allows the instrument to run unattended after equilibration. This saves time and reduces operator errors.

In terms of separation performance, the product line sets new standards. The three-piston pumps deliver pulse-free flow for reproducible separations. The flash pump operates at up to 50 bar and 300 mL/min, supporting cartridges with small particle sizes that reflect the current trend. The C-950 combines flash and preparative HPLC in one instrument, reaching up to 400 bar at 150 mL/min. Quaternary gradients with up to four solvents provide maximum flexibility in method development, especially for challenging separations.

The patented ELS detector with direct nano-pulse injection requires no valves, transfer lines, or make-up pump. This means minimal maintenance and the lowest sample consumption on the market (30 uL/min). Combined with UV or DAD detection, all common detection options are available.

Safety is a central aspect of the Pure Excellence line. The closed fraction collector with active ventilation minimizes exposure to solvent vapors. The instrument can therefore be operated outside a fume hood. QR code recognition for cartridges and RFID readers for racks automate configuration and prevent mix-ups. Sensors continuously monitor pressure, levels, and leaks, protecting both samples and operators.
