Our HiScroll vacuum pumps are the compact, hermetically sealed, and powerful solution for your applications. Their scroll technology offers dry compression, high performance, and energy-efficient operation.
With their ultra-low noise and vibration levels, these vacuum pumps are ideal for analytical, industrial, and scientific applications in the medium vacuum range down to 10-3 hPa (mbar).
The HiScroll series offers four sizes of dry scroll vacuum pumps with high pumping speeds, providing the fastest pump-down times in their class. Their powerful interior permanent magnet (IPM) synchronous motor operates energy efficiently and generates less heat compared to conventional drives, keeping the pumps running at lower temperatures. Precisely engineered components, like a high-quality bearing system, minimize friction and noise, resulting in longer maintenance intervals and low cost of ownership. This refined design ensures that overall energy consumption is reduced by more than 50% compared to conventional scroll vacuum pumps.
Temperature regulation is further optimized by the innovative pump housing of the HiScroll series, featuring cooling fins. These fins ensure even temperature distribution, providing more surface area to dissipate excess heat. Additionally, the temperature of the pump is continuously measured by built-in sensors, allowing the intelligent cooling fan to adjust its speed dynamically to gas load fluctuations and changes in ambient temperatures.
All the features mentioned make HiScroll vacuum pumps the quietest in their class. They operate at less than 47 dB(A) (less than 42 dB(A) in standby mode). With their low-vibration levels and compact design, they are perfect for noise- and space-sensitive environments like laboratories or inside analytical instruments such as leak detectors or mass spectrometer systems.
All HiScroll sizes are hermetically sealed so that no gas can enter or exit the vacuum pump. They feature a non-return valve at the outlet that prevents gases from flowing back into the pump after shutdown. A gas backflow could destabilize the generated vacuum in the evacuation chamber or lead to contamination with unwanted gases like oxygen. The HiScroll 18 and 46 models, equipped with a 3-phase power supply, are designed for demanding industrial processes with high gas loads or radiation exposure, for example in accelerators. They feature improved IP44 protection against splashing water. Additionally, all HiScroll models are ATEX-certified as standard, ensuring safe operation in explosion-hazard environments. However, this certification is not applicable if the HiScroll is ordered with electronic accessories such as a pressure sensor.
RS-485, ProfiNet or EtherCAT interfaces enable the easy connection of HiScroll vacuum pumps as backing pumps to turbomolecular vacuum pumps or external control systems like OmniControl. The Pfeiffer AccessLink accessory ports allow the use of many optional accessories, including a vacuum isolation valve.
HiScroll vacuum pumps can be equipped with a pressure sensor. This enables you to set a target pressure, and the electronic drive unit will automatically adjust the rotational speed of the pump to achieve or maintain the set target pressure. This reduces energy consumption while also minimizing wear, significantly extending maintenance intervals. Additionally, HiScroll vacuum pumps are available with a manual or automatic gas-ballast valve, which enhances water vapor compatibility.
