Stopped Flow Systeme

50 µl of sample is all you need for a series of stopped-flow experiment

Bio-Logic Science Instruments GmbH

Run more experiments and save money with just a tenth of the sample consumption

Independent stepper motors allow the mixing ratio to be adjusted easily through the software

optimized for absorption, fluorescence, 90° light scattering and X-ray kinetics

A unique micro volume stopped-flow solution for the most demanding applications

Until now, the idea of carrying out a complete series of experiments with only 100 µl of solution was considered a dream, since such volumes were previously only required to prepare the stopped-flow device. With the µSFM, not a single drop of precious liquid is wasted. With just 100 µl of stock solution, the user has enough solution to perform 10 replicates. And this could even be extended to 25 replicates if refolding/folding experiments are performed! The µSFM is a stopped-flow system with two syringes. Each syringe is driven by an independent stepper motor, so the mixing ratio can be freely changed from 1:1 to 1:9 in the software. A series of experiments is possible with only 50 µl of stock solution and without compromising sensitivity with a dead time of 1 ms. The minimum injection volume can be reduced to as little as 3 µl in the case of asymmetric mixing conditions. The µSFM is a dedicated, single-mixing, stopped-flow instrument optimized for absorption, fluorescence, 90° light scattering, and X-ray kinetics.

1

50µL corresponds to 10 repetitions with only approx. 5µl: The µSFM makes it possible to work with the smallest sample volumes.

2

Each syringe is powered by an independent stepping motor. The mixing ratio can be freely selected in the software.

3

Need multiple mixing steps or options? Then our SFM-4000 is probably ideal for you!
