ibidi has been chosen as a finalist for the German Economy Innovation Award 2012/13

21-Dec-2012 - Germany

Out of 275 applicants, ibidi has been selected as one of the 20 finalists, and is now competing against four other companies for the top prize in the “Medium-Sized Business” category.

The first-round selection was made by a scientific committee, with representatives from German economic and science sectors, who reviewed the 275 applications and then proposed the finalists to the competition’s board of trustees. This board will now choose the winners before the end of January 2013, based on each applicant’s innovation
range, market chances, profitability, and innovation management. In addition, a company’s application spectrum, synergy effects, and benefit to society will also be evaluated.

ibidi’s technology development is supported by the BMBF (Bundesministerium für Bildung und Forschung). Within the scope of joint research projects, ibidi continues to participate in the priority programs, “KMU-Innovative”, “Optical Technologies (Biophotonics)”, and
“Midi-Wing (Material innovation for industry and society)”, all of which are run by the BMBF.
