Natraceutical

Natraceutical, S.A., (IBEX-35: NTC) is a biotechnology company specialized in the production of nutritional supplements. It is headquartered in Valencia, Spain, and is listed on the Madrid Stock Exchange. The company has four major areas of activity: ingredients for the food industry, biotechnological ingredients for inclusion in functional foods, development of functional foods, and research and development activities on new molecules with biological activity that may have a positive effect on human health. In addition, the company produces pure natural caffeine at its Brazilian purification plant near Manaus, that has a capacity of over 2,000 ton per year, for use in various pharmaceutical preparations and soft drinks. Natraceutical claims to be world's leading purified caffeine producer, with soft drinks giant The Coca-Cola Company among its numerous clients. Its biotechnological ingredients are compounds (nutraceuticals) added to everyday food to increase nutritional properties and prevent diseases, or also used as dietetics to aid the digestive system. Natraceutical also aids its parent company, Natra S.A., in developing functional foods. Over 80% of the company's production is delivered to clients of the European Union and the United States.
