DFG Forschungszentrum für Molekularphysiologie des Gehirns (CMPB)

The CMPB is one of six research centers established by the German Research Foundation (DFG) in 2001 and 2002 to pool scientific expertise in innovative fields of research. The CMPB has set itself the central goal of analyzing molecular processes and interactions in nerve cells in detail in order to improve and further develop therapies for psychiatric, neurological and neurodegenerative diseases in the long term. In addition to high-quality research, the CMPB also supports young scientists at all career levels - from students to junior research group leaders. Research groups in Göttingen have joined forces in the CMPB to jointly clarify fundamental questions in neuroscience.
