Ergonomic pipetting with 50% less torque and enhanced customization options

The Eppendorf Research® 3 neo represents the next generation of mechanical pipettes, combining proven reliability with innovative features designed to enhance laboratory efficiency and user comfort. This advanced pipette addresses the evolving needs of modern laboratories through adaptable functionality and ergonomic design.

Adaptable Volume Adjustment for Individual Preferences

The Research 3 neo features a unique dual-speed volume adjustment mechanism that allows users to switch between "fast" and "easy" modes. In fast mode, volume adjustments require up to 40% fewer turns compared to previous models. For example, adjusting the 1000 μL variant from 100 μL to maximum volume requires only 5 turns instead of approximately 9 turns. The easy mode reduces the required torque by 50%, enabling comfortable one-handed operation during extended pipetting sessions. This flexibility allows researchers to optimize their workflow based on individual preferences and specific application requirements.

Enhanced Organization with ColorTag Marking Rings

The new ColorTag marking rings provide a versatile identification system available in 12 vibrant colors and 6 sizes. These flexible silicone rings are compatible with Eppendorf pipettes and dispensers, enabling quick visual identification of equipment assigned to specific applications, users, or laboratory settings. The rings withstand autoclaving at 121°C, UV light exposure, and H₂O₂ gas sterilization, ensuring durability in demanding laboratory environments. Users can write on the rings to indicate calibration schedules or specific applications, further enhancing laboratory organization and efficiency.

Precision Through Temporary Adjustment

The Research 3 neo offers an upgraded temporary adjustment feature that allows users to optimize pipetting accuracy for specific conditions such as elongated tips, reverse pipetting, or liquids with unique properties. The easily accessible adjustment opening with included tool enables quick modifications, indicated by numbers in a dedicated window. The hinged adjustment cover prevents loss and closes securely after setting. Users can revert to factory calibration settings within 2 seconds by returning the adjustment wheel to zero, providing flexibility without compromising precision.

Ergonomic Design for Reduced Strain

The pipette integrates pipetting and volume adjustment into a single button, significantly reducing the distance between the finger hook and operating button top. This design minimizes awkward hand positions and enhances thumb accessibility. The Research 3 neo maintains the proven low operating forces from the Research plus model, with pipetting forces comparable to turning on a light switch. The clearly defined stop between pipetting and blow-out reduces mental load and enhances sustained attention. Additional features include a volume lock to prevent accidental changes, color-coded tip ejector and operation button for quick recognition, and a magnifying volume window displaying four digits for easy reading.

Proven Reliability and Durability

Extensive reliability testing simulates 5 years of typical laboratory use, including 200,000 operating button cycles, 100,000 tip attachment and ejection cycles, and 175 autoclave cycles. The single-cast housing ensures durability while offering comfortable handling. The pipette demonstrates chemical resistance, full autoclavability, and H₂O₂ sterilization capability without disassembly, complemented by UV resistance. The Research 3 neo carries an ACT® label validating eco-friendly practices in development and production, with a wide range of spare parts available to support long-term functionality.
