DNA Bioscience Hires Global Healthcare Expert to New Role of CEO

London. DNA Bioscience, a leading DNA testing company, today announced that it has appointed John Rowley to the new role of CEO. Rowley, whose past experience includes working for International SOS, Diageo and GlaxoSmithKline in a variety of senior international management positions, will take up his post on 20th July 2005.

DNA Bioscience was founded in 2003 and has already established a leading reputation in the expanding DNA testing market, with services including testing for paternity and ethnicity, forensics and DNA preservation. It is one of the few DNA companies to be certified by the Department for Constitutional Affairs and to have ISO accreditation.

Rowley commented on his appointment:

"I see huge growth potential within the DNA testing industry, not only in the UK but also in Europe, Asia and North America. Immediately prior to joining DNA Bioscience, John Rowley was Regional Managing Director, EMEA, for International SOS, the world's leading healthcare and medical assistance company, where his responsibilities included managing the European and Middle East region with revenues in excess of US$60million and overseeing 240 staff. He began his career working for the pharmaceutical division of GlaxoSmithKline in London, rapidly progressing from management trainee to Area Manager, Middle East, within five years. He then worked for over 10 years with Diageo Plc, in various general management and sales and marketing positions in the UK and then Asia, covering both large, established markets and smaller scale emerging markets.
