Howard Routman




Dr. Howard Routman is the Director of Palm Beach Shoulder Service and the President and Founder of Palm Beach Shoulder and Sports Medicine Foundation, a local non-profit organization promoting educational research and injury prevention. He is also a national and internatonal lecturer on shoulder orthopedics and shoulder health.

Education

After graduating from the University of Florida, Dr. Routman attended Nova-Southeastern University Medical School and graduated with highest honors. He entered training at Ohio University’s Doctor’s Hospital in Columbus, Ohio for Internship, and completed his Orthopaedic Surgical training at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, where he was selected Chief Resident, overseeing a sixteen resident program. This training was under John J. McPhilemy, D.O., the team physician for the Philadelphia 76’ers Basketball Club, and Dr. Routman had the opportunity to spend time working with the team as well as an Assistant Team Physician.
