About Viroscope
Viroscope is dedicated to the discovery of as yet unidentified human and animal viruses with significant impact on human and animal health.
Viroscope is a spin out company of the Erasmus University Medical Centre located in Rotterdam, The Netherlands, and was founded in 2003 after the identification of SARS-coronavirus as the causative agent of SARS. Subsequently Viroscope discovered another human pathogenic coronavirus, Human Corona virus NL63 (HCoV/NL63).
The company is a member of ViroVentures, a forum in which several businesses share expertise and certain assets to exploit synergies; certain members of the management team have appointments in several of the businesses.
