Galilaeus Oy

Galilaeus Oy is a company focused on advancing technology for development of fermentation manufacturing of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API’s). The company commercializes its strong technology skills by providing fermentation production processes and contract manufacturing to pharmaceutical companies on the international market.

Galilaeus develops cost-efficient and environmentally responsible production processes for out-licensing to customers. Replacing complicated, low-yield and very expensive chemical steps by biosynthesis also gives customers the means to increase profitability. Another focus of Galilaeus is cytotoxic cancer drugs, while processes for API’s of other therapeutic areas such as immunosuppressive therapy and microbial infections (antibiotics) are in development. As an additional service, the process development knowledge is also made available to the customer, e.g. by improving a producer strain that is owned by the customer.

Galilaeus works as a contract manufacturer to provide fermentation production of drug candidates for clinical trials. The plant for GMP manufacturing is currently dedicated to small volume cytotoxic products.

Our customers are small to large companies in the pharmaceutical and fine chemicals industry as well as biotech drug development companies. We currently have customers from Europe, North America and Asia
