About Nephrolytix
MISSION: 1.7 million deaths per year are caused by Acute Kidney Injury (AKI) globally. AKI is a frequent, clinical event occurring in up to 20% of all hospital patients. It is characterized by a rapid deterioration of renal function to varying degrees, and associated with an up to 15-fold higher risk of death. In addition, patients with AKI have a significantly higher risk of developing or worsening a chronic kidney disease. As of today, an early detection tool for AKI is not available.
Nephrolytix aims to close this early detection gap with an easy-to-use tool for rapid and precise kidney function measurement.
