The Institute Ranke-Heinemann/ Australian-New Zealand University Alliance - IDP Education is the central student secretariat of all Australian and New Zealand universities in Europe, responsible for student counseling, student application, knowledge and research transfer as well as research funding through scholarships. The Institute is the point of contact for students and university representatives for all questions relating to the education systems in Australia and New Zealand. In addition to advising students, its tasks include initiating and supporting university cooperation in the field of student, researcher and lecturer exchanges between German and Austrian universities and universities in Australia and New Zealand. In addition, the Ranke-Heinemann Institute / Australian-New Zealand University Network regularly reports on news from science and research at Australian and New Zealand universities and provides information about the education system there in lectures and publications. Furthermore, the Ranke-Heinemann Institute / Australian-New Zealand University Alliance represents Australia and New Zealand at international conferences in the areas of exchange, cooperation, modularized study systems, tuition fees and supervision models. The Ranke-Heinemann Institute is a European branch of the Association of Australian Universities IDP, which has been run by all Australian universities for forty years. It represents Australian research and science worldwide and has established itself as a liaison between Australian universities, foreign governments, state organizations and higher education institutions and their students. In Germany, the Ranke-Heinemann Institute is represented at four locations: Essen, Berlin, Munich and Stuttgart - in addition, at universities in the international academic office through regular Australia consultation hours. In Austria, the Institute maintains an information center in Vienna and in Australia in Sydney.
