epMotion® 96 Flex
96-channel pipetting with up to 40% time savings in molecular biology
Time saving of 40% for nucleic acid purification compared to 8-channel pipettes
Volume range 0.5-1000 μL with only two interchangeable dispensing heads
ISO 23783-2 calibrated: Accuracy ≤ 4.5% and precision ≤ 2.5% at 5 μL
Compact design for safety cabinets - ISO-calibrated for maximum precision
The epMotion® 96 Flex is an intelligent 96-channel pipetting system that transforms routine tasks into efficient processes. With its compact design, the device fits into safety cabinets and can be moved flexibly between laboratories. The intuitive user interface with a high-quality 5-inch touchscreen and all operating elements are located at the bottom of the device - for ergonomic working even in clean benches.
Maximum efficiency for molecular biology and cell culture
In molecular biology applications such as nucleic acid purification and qPCR setup, the epMotion® 96 Flex achieves time savings of around 40% compared to conventional 8-channel pipettes. For cell biology routines and assays, the system reduces processing time by 22%. The device enables fast and precise liquid handling in both 96-well and 384-well plates thanks to intelligent indexing functionality.
Interchangeable dispensing heads for maximum flexibility
With just two interchangeable dispensing heads, the epMotion® 96 Flex covers a volume range from 0.5 μL to 1000 μL. The dispensing head 50/300 μL works with 50 μL and 300 μL tips, the dispensing head 300/1000 μL with 300 μL and 1000 μL tips. The heads can be changed without tools and are supplied in a hardshell case for easy transportation and storage. The system can work with less than 96 tips - column by column from 8 tips - offering full flexibility for current and future applications.
ISO-certified precision and reproducibility
The epMotion® 96 Flex is calibrated according to ISO 23783-2 and guarantees highest pipetting accuracy. Electronic pipetting with parallel piston movement ensures better precision and reproducibility of results. At 5 μL, the accuracy is ≤ 4.5% and the precision ≤ 2.5% (dispensing head 50/300 μL with 50 μL tips). The automatic optical detection of the tip size offers maximum safety when loading the correct tips.
Versatile applications
The system is suitable for numerous applications in molecular biology and cell culture: filling, replication and reformatting of 96/384-well plates, DNA/RNA purification, magnetic bead-based cleanups (e.g. for NGS library preparation), PCR and qPCR setup, homogeneous cell seeding and media changes, cell-based assays, reagent and substance addition, plate coating and washing (e.g. for ELISA) as well as serial dilutions.
Intuitive operation without programming knowledge
The intelligent software offers preset applications: Aspiration, Dilution, Sequential Dispense, Multi Dispensing, Small Volume, Prewetting and Reverse Pipetting. Individual parameters for aspiration or dispensing speed can be adapted to the respective liquid class. Frequently used volumes can be saved. Semi-automated tip loading and ejection as well as height adjustment with auto-trigger functions for aspiration and dispensing simplify complex pipetting tasks. The system supports SLAS/ANSI labware such as microplates, reservoirs and thermal adapters.
