Umar Alisha



Dr. Umar Alisha (born 1966-01-31) is the 9th head (peethadhipathi) of Sri Viswa Viznana Vidya Adhyatmika Peetham.[1] He took over the reign of this 535 years old institution from his father, Mohiddin Badusha II, on 1989-09-09.

Alisha is the chairman of the Umar Alisha Rural Development Trust and the Umar Alisha Sahithi Samithi. Alisha is also a poet, writing in the Telugu language, and the editor-in-chief of the spiritual magazine Tatva Znanamu.

He is a homeopath graduated from the Dr Gururaju Government Homeopathic Medical College in Gudivada, Andhra Pradesh.

Alisha received the (Visesha Puraskaram) -2006 Ramineni Foundation Award. [2][3]
