Maculoocular reflex

The maculoocular relflex is a reflex in the human eye.

Linear acceleration is the sensory stimulus for the horizontally orientated macula of the utricle and for the vertical macula of the saccule. Linear acceleration produces compensatory eye movements (the maculoocular reflex) which ensure optimal static position of the eye during linear movement.
