Discolysis

Discolysis is an ambulatory procedure by which an herniated disk is treated by injecting a O2-O3 (ozone) solution in the intervertebral disk. The procedure requires fluoroscopic guidance of the needles and local anesthesia.

The effect of the ozone is to accelerate the dehydration of the degenerated nucleus pulposus.
