The bm-log network, consisting mainly of small and medium-sized companies, pursues the goal of identifying and investigating complex logistical processes in the field of individualized, regenerative and biotechnology in order to develop and sustainably establish complex system solutions for these logistical processes. This includes the creation of systems, equipment and facilities including the necessary software for technical-technological solutions as well as organizational and quality strategies for biomedical logistics. "Biomedical logistics comprises the planning, management and control of all process steps from the collection of samples (e.g. cells, tissue) by the doctor to the application of the biomedical product (e.g. cells, tissue, organs) to the patient, including the disposal of medical waste and recycling as well as the information flows accompanying the entire process."
