About Institut Albert Bonniot

The Albert Bonniot Institute is a Federative Research Institute (IFR) and it was created in 1999. Since 2007 it has become a Research Centre of both the French National Institute of Health and Medical Research (INSERM) and the Joseph Fourier University (UJF). The Albert Bonniot Institute is also associated to the Grenoble University Hospital (CHU), the French Blood Institute (EFS) and the French National Scientific Research Centre (CNRS). An international scientific committee is in charge of the scientific strategy of the Albert Bonniot Institute. Named INSERM/UJF U823, the Albert Bonniot Institute hosts 14 research teams (180 staff), altogether gathered around the Grenoble University Hospital (CHU), nearby the Biopolis Biotech Center. The research field of the Albert Bonniot Institute revolves around the understanding of basic mechanisms which govern cell and tissue differentiation processes and their pathological malfunctioning, especially in an oncogen
