Volunteer Service Abroad



Volunteer Service Abroad is a non-governmental organization in New Zealand, equivalent to Voluntary Service Overseas. It provides volunteers from New Zeland for service in developing countries. It is largely sponsored by NZAID (New Zealand's International Aid and Development Agency).

The organization works in Pacific region (Papua New Guinea, Bougainville, Kiribati, Solomon Islands, Vanuatu, Tokelau, Samoa, Niue, Cook Islands, Tonga), Asia (Bhutan, Laos, Vietnam, Cambodia, East Timor), and Africa (Tanzania, Zimbabwe, South Africa, Zambia).

New Zealand volunteers work in such fields as education, health, agriculture, small business development and others. They aim to share their skills, experience and energy with local communities in the developed countries.
