Trachelectomy

In gynecology, trachelectomy, also cervicectomy, is surgical removal of the uterine cervix.[1] It is a fertility preserving alternative to a hysterectomy, in early cervical cancer.[2]

Currently, it is not yet considered the standard of care; hysterectomy is the standard of care.[3]
