TIM/TOM Complex



The TIM/TOM Complex is a process in cellular biochemistry where proteins produced from nuclear DNA are ferried to the mitochondria for use in oxidative phosphorylation. Only 13 proteins necessary for mitochondria are actually coded in mitochondrial DNA.
