Contents

Plant

Ignatia is derived from the bean of a tree in the Loganiaceae family native to the Philippines and parts of China. The fruit of the tree Strychnos ignatii is the size and shape of a pear and has almond-like seeds, also known as Saint Ignatius' beans.[2]

Homeopathic remedy

The Ignatia presentation is idealistic with hopes and dreams and a person who will try to implement their ideals. They frequently have romantic relationships. In classic homeopathic cases, the ignatia person has an event that leads to disappointment and then grief. The true keynote comes when the unresolved grief turns to hysteria.[3]

Evidence

Ignatia has not yet been subjected to modern scientific trials or research.[1]
