Splenic-flexure syndrome

Splenic-flexure syndrome is a term used previously to describe bloating, muscle spasms of the colon, and upper abdominal discomfort thought to be caused by trapped gas at bends (flexures) in the colon.

It is now recognized that splenic-flexure syndrome symptoms are most likely related to IBS.
