Phosphate energy system




System used to create energy within the body for explosive, high-intensity efforts. Lasts for approximately eight seconds and within this time for it to be the major supplier of atp you have to be working above 95% max heart-rate. After the eight seconds of working at the high intensity the lactic acid system will become more dominant. Remember that as soon as you start exercising all three energy system start to work, it's just which one is most dopminant that counts.
