Mimics is an image processing software package for 3-dimensional design and modeling, comercially developed by Materialise NV.[1] Mimics generates and modifies surface 3D models from stacked medical images such as Computed Tomography (CT), Confocal Microscopy, Micro CT, and Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) through image segmentation done in the STL format. Image formats such as: VFF (Sun TAAC), Raw, BMP, TIFF, DICOM, and JPEG formats can be imported, output formats include: IGES, STL, VRML, PLY, INP, OUT, NAS, and MSH. The current application is version 11.02, it supports Windows Vista x64, Vista x32, XP x64 and XP x32.
