J. Dean Cole



J. Dean Cole is an American surgeon. He is the Medical Director at Florida Hospital Orthopaedic Institute Fracture Care Center.

Dr. Cole has pioneered the minimally invasive approach to treating orthopaedic trauma as well as invented new types of implants and devices to aid in successful surgery outcomes.[citation needed]

Raised in Titusville, Florida, Cole attended Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida and the University of South Florida, College of Medicine in Tampa, Florida. He completed his Residency at the University of South Florida Hospital before finishing his Fellowship in Orthopaedic Traumatology at the University of Texas Medical School. In 1987, Dr. Cole was appointed Assistant Professor in the Department of Surgery, Division of Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Texas Medical School. Dr. Cole returned to Florida in 1989 to begin work with Matthews Orthopedic Clinic before entering into private practice in 1997.
