International Review of the Red Cross

The International Review of the Red Cross (ISSN 1560-7755) is an academic quarterly periodic journal published by the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) which, according to its publisher, "aims to promote debate, reflection and critical analysis on international humanitarian law, humanitarian action and policy during international armed conflict and other situations of violence". The universally composed editorial board is chaired by Prof. Toni Pfanner from the ICRC.

The journal, which has been continuously published since 1869, has since 2006 (vol 88, Number 861) been outsourced for publishing to Cambridge University Press. Its main edition is published in English and yearly selections of articles are available in Arabic, Chinese, Persian, French, Russian, Spanish and Turkish.
