Double bagging

Double bagging is the use of two condoms (one on top of the other) during sexual intercourse.[1] One NIH study found that 35.2% of HIV-positive gay men had engaged in this practice.[1]

Although the practice of double bagging stems from the popular belief that this adds extra protection against STD transmission and pregnancy, using two condoms may instead make them more likely to rip or slip off.[2][3]
