Depression and Bipolar Support Alliance

DBSA

DBSA is a non profit organization which provides support groups across the United States, as well as online to sufferers, family and friends of people with Depression and Bipolar illnesses.

DBSA also does outreach, education and advocacy.

Groups

The supports groups are amazingly helpful for many people; brainstorming solutions, experiencing healing human connection, making new friends, and hearing great information. There are hundreds of groups across the US!!

Other Info

A Scientific Advisory Board and a small staff also host an annual conference in the US. In 2007, it met in Orlando and featured an amazing group of speakers, including olympian and Depression/bi-polar advocate and fellow patient, Greg Luganus!

DBSA is now collaborating with other supportive organizations, such as Pathways To Recovery.

DBSA has published literature and a telephone line for referrals and information on its support groups.

DBSA weekly meetings are welcoming, and take place from the Dana Center in snowy Portland, Maine, to Keene, New Hampshire, to the Big Apple, New York City, to all corners of the country, all the way out to sunny Los Angeles, California.
