Cocaine spoon

A cocaine spoon, referred to as a "coke spoon", or simply "spoon", is an instrument used in the process of insufflating ("snorting", sniffing) cocaine. The spoons are usually long and slender metallic objects with varying designs and patterns, with a small bowl at the end. The bowls on cocaine spoons usually have more depth in relation to width than other spoons, and hold about 1/2 a usual dose of cocaine when filled. Thus, they are usually filled twice for a single dose. Spoons, although enjoying a high popularity during the 1980's, have fallen out of favor to the more common "line" preparation today.
