American College of Rheumatology



The American College of Rheumatology is an American medical organization representing doctors, scientists and other health professionals working in the field of rheumatology, the medical field studying and treating arthritis and rheumatic and musculoskeletal diseases.[1] It organizes scientific meetings, publishes two medical journals (Arthritis & Rheumatism and Arthritis Care & Research), and promotes (through the Research and Education Foundation) research into rheumatological conditions, including the formulation of diagnostic criteria for diseases.[2] Its division, the Association of Rheumatology Health Professionals, represents non-physician health care professionals in the field.[1]

The College's current president is Dr Neal S. Birnbaum MD.[3]
