Actelion awarded the Prix Hermès de l'Innovation

Actelion Ltd  announced that the company will receive this year's Prix Hermès de l'Innovation in the category "amélioration de la condition humaine" (improvement in the conditions of human life).

The European Institute for Creative Strategies and Innovation awards the Prix Hermès annually to selected institutions and companies in recognition of their outstanding innovative achievements in different areas of life. It includes a total of eight different categories. The award ceremony will take place in Paris on April 19th.

Actelion receives the Prix Hermès for its extensive innovative research work for improving the quality of life of patients. In particular, the Prize recognizes Actelion's commitment to improve treatment of children with rare diseases, especially in pulmonary arterial hypertension.

Martine Clozel, Chief Scientific Officer of Actelion, said: "We are honored to be awarded this Prize, which acknowledges the commitment of Actelion to innovative research for the benefit of patients with rare diseases. In particular, it recognizes our efforts to help children. With Tracleer, we began developing a formulation adapted to children with pulmonary arterial hypertension particularly early in the development".
