In Less Than a Second per Well: BMG LABTECH's FLUOstar Omega

The FLUOstar Omega is a multi-mode microplate reader featuring BMG LABTECH's proprietary Tandem Technology. It uses an ultra-fast CCD-based spectrometer for UV/Vis absorbance and ultra-sensitive filters for detection in other modes. Unique to BMG LABTECH, the UV/Vis spectrometer can capture a full spectrum (220 to 1000 nm) at a 1 nm resolution in <1 sec/well. This technology allows for absorbance assays not possible on other microplate readers.

Advanced Assay Technology Package for the FLUOstar Omega
A specialized optical system has been designed to provide Omega series with advanced detection modes that rival any HTS microplate reader, AlphaScreen/ AlphaLISA and TRF/TR-FRET. Experience fantastic AlphaScreen / AlphaLISA performance on a mid-range multi-mode microplate reader. Furthermore, the Advanced Assay Technology Package with a TRF assay specific dichroic mirror, the high intensity xenon flash lamp, and the adjustable gain, allow the Omega to outperform any microplate reader in the mid-range market.

Cell-based Assays Benefit from ACU Gas Control Features
The optional Atmospheric Control Unit (ACU) offers exceptional O2 and CO2 regulation. The microprocessor controlled ACU fully regulates O2 and CO2 within the microplate reader allowing you to select the concentrations that match your required physiological conditions. The ACU adjusts the two gases independently, ensuring that any combination can be easily programmed, eliminating the need for premixed gases. In combination with extended temperature control up to 65°C and unrivalled shaking options (orbital, linear, double orbital, variable speed), the ACU provides a true solution for all cell-based assays.
