PepStractor - Peptide Extraction / Protein Depletion Kit Move Biomarker discovery to a new level of sensitivity

The PepStractor is a high volume kit for the extraction of native peptides combined with protein depletion optimized for a volume of 1 mL per extraction. It can be applied to all kinds of biological samples like plasma, CSF, urine, cell culture and tissue extracts. With sample volumes between 100 microliter and 1 milliliter peptides in a mass range of lower 1 to 20 kDA can be explored. With a removal of total protein above 95 percent, downstream analytics and applications reach a new level of quality. It is noteworthy, that the PepStractor applies analytical principles other than immunoaffinities implying that there is to the best of our knowledge no dependency known on the species the samples originated from. Peptide extracts are delivered that are compatible to high sensitivity biomarker R&D, validation platforms as well as all mass spectrometric protocols. Using the PepStractor on human plasma with Digilab BioVisioN’s unique Peptidomics technology reveals native peptide hormones at levels below 50 pmol/L.
