VYOO ^® is a novel multiplex PCR assay to identify sepsis pathogens and antibiotic resistances within 8 hours. The molecular diagnostic solution combines fast PCR technology with highest sensitivity and easy handling.

Fast and precise results
VYOO ^® detects 40 bacterial and fungal species that cause life-threatening infections. In the same process, important antibiotic resistances are identified. The results of 16 patients per user are provided simultaneously. The test is unaffected by antibiotic pre-treatment and starts directly from up to 5 ml whole blood samples. The high sensitivity of VYOO ^® is achieved by LOOXSTER ^®, incorporating SIRS-Lab’s proprietary PUREPROVE ^® technology that concentrates bacterial and fungal DNA. This reduces the signal-to-noise problem caused by the DNA background in complex human samples. The highly efficient lysis disrupts even difficult to lyze cells in a reliable way.

Guided antibiotic therapy
VYOO ^® carries significant potential to guide antibiotic therapy in the early therapeutic window that determines the course and prognosis of the septic patient. Moreover, its high utility helps to identify those patients in whom antibiotic therapy can safely be deescalated.

Ease of use
VYOO ^® can smoothly be integrated in the workflow by using standard PCR equipment. The robust technology drastically reduces the liability for contamination. No special training is required.

Validation
VYOO ^® was validated by external clinicians and clinical microbiologists. The system was optimized by the design of more than 20.000 primer pairs, 1000 PCR assays, and in over 150.000 separate reactions.
