HiClass Culture Plugs - simple, clean and easy SILICOSEN® - BIO-SILICO®

Hirschmann Laborgeräte replaces with their new culture plugs SILICOSEN and BIO-SILICO the difficult and time consuming preparation of cotton plugs with mechanically manufactured silicone culture stoppers. A special manufacturing process leads to an even distribution of the pores inside the stoppers. Therefore these stoppers are perfectly suitable for preparation and sterilization of culture media.

SILICOSEN and BIO-SILICO culture plugs are available in various types. SILICOSEN culture stoppers have low water evaporation due to their skin layer which makes them particularly suitable for long term cultures. BIO-SILICO culture plugs have high air permeability to all sides, similar to cotton plugs. Both types are chemically resistant, temperature resistant, liquid repellent and reusable.
